He’s the slowest thing on two wheels.
He’s also the most precious thing you’ll see this week – maybe this year.
Meet Anderson Pooper, the disabled racing dachshund whose recent YouTube clip has gone viral.
Anderson Pooper, a play on CNN anchor Anderson Cooper’s name, raced at Emerald Downs in Washington last weekend during horse races.
“A-Poop,” as he’s called in the video, didn’t win the annual Wiener Dog Rally, but his determination captures the hearts and minds of anyone who watches this clip.
While the rest of the racers couldn’t seem to stay on course, the disabled dog seemed to have more discipline than the entire lot combined, running a straight line and never looking away from the finish line.
It was one of those sporting moments that brings fans of all kinds together.
For Anderson Pooper, it was just about being there, as well as finishing the race.
