For Sports Illustrated's 50th anniversary of their iconic Swimsuit Issue, they defied gravity.

The sports magazine went the extra mile by photographing supermodel Kate Upton in zero gravity while she wore a gold bikini.

To set up the shots, SI partnered with Zero G, a tourism company that provides zero-gravity experiences. The shoot took place on board a Boeing-727 that "performed a series of 17 parabolas" that mimicked a rollercoaster experience, angling the airplane at 45 degrees before stabilizing it.

The magazine also filmed the shoot, to give readers a glimpse into how everthing unfolded.

Surprisingly, nobody vomited during the zero gravity experience.
