Dominique Maltais second in Switzerland snowboardcross

Dominique Maltais continues to dominate the women's snowboardcross.

The native of Petite-Riviere-St-Francois, Que. earned her third straight Crystal Globe trophy and fourth of her career after finishing second in a FIS World Cup stop in Veysonnaz, Switzerland on Saturday.

Nelly Moenne Loccoz from France took the top spot and Czech Republic's Eva Samkova came in third.

Maelle Ricker from Squamish, B.C. also had a strong race, finishing in 10th place.

In the men's final, Rob Fagan from Squamish and North Vancouver's Chris Robanske just missed the podium, placing fourth and fifth respectively.

Meanwhile, Canada earned another top 10 finish when Montreal's Ariane Lavigne placed fifth in the FIS Parallel Giant Slalom World Cup in La Molina, Spain.
