Canadian bobsledder Derek Plug received a two-year ban on Monday after an out-of-competition doping control sample revealed the presence of a banned anabolic agent.

A urine sample taken on Sept. 17, 2012 indicated the presence of SARM S-22 in the Calgarian’s system, according to the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport.

Although Plug has exercised his right to a hearing, he’s ineligible to compete in any sport that is a subscriber to the Canadian Anti-Doping Program.

Plug will be eligible to return to competition in late 2014.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
