Ex-fiance Sheryl Crow says 'truth will set Armstrong free'

Sheryl Crow has broken her silence about her ex-fiance Lance Armstrong's doping confession, insisting he made the right decision to come clean during a candid TV chat with Oprah Winfrey last week.
The singer split from the disgraced cyclist in 2006 after a three-year romance, but she recently confessed she still cares for her ex and admits she checked out "bits and pieces" of his interview with Oprah, during which he revealed he had lied about his past use of performance enhancing drugs.
Crow told U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight, "I think that honesty is always the best bet and that the truth will set you free... To carry around a weight like that would be devastating in the long run."
