Is there anything better than spending the Christmas season at home surrounded by family and friends?
Can’t think of anything I’d rather do, other than perhaps having my eyeballs plucked out by a rabid crow. I’m kidding of course. We all know that Christmas isn’t actually a season.
Not to sound completely insincere, but it is good to be back after spending the past four weeks hunkered down in the basement listening to sports radio, writing angry tweets, watching hockey on TV and the entire Granada Sherlock Holmes series on DVD. And now that I am back, some random thoughts:
-- Bryan Colangelo should be sweating bullets given that MLSE has shown to have the cojones to relieve Brian Burke of his duties.
-- When there are no NHL games in the offing, Don Cherry becomes catnip for journalists. If Grapes passes wind or sticks a finger in his ear, it’s newsworthy. Apparently.
