Canadian Mikael Kingsbury won a Europa Cup moguls event Monday in Sochi, Russia on the 2014 Olympic course.

Kingsbury, of Deux-Montagnes, Que., had a score of 25.68 to finish ahead of brothers Sergey and Andrey Volkov of Russia, who were second and third at 24.91 and 24.22 respectively.

Marc-Antoine Gagnon of Terrebonne, Que., was fourth and Philippe Marquis of Quebec City was 15th on the snowy course.

"Now I know the course and I know that I can win on it and I know it will be hard with the weather," Kingsbury said. "So all of that is good for the Olympics."
