Christine Nesbitt of London, Ont., capped an unbeaten showing at the Canadian speed skating championships Sunday in Calgary.
Nesbitt won the women's 500-metres thanks to a personal-best 37.862 seconds in her second race at the Calgary Olympic Oval. It was her fourth title of the weekend.
Shannon Rempel of Winnipeg was second while Tamara Oudenaarden of St. Albert, Alta., was third.
In the men's 500m, Jamie Gregg of Edmonton came back in the second race to edge out Matthew McLean of Winnipeg for the gold medal. Muncef Ouardi of Montreal was third.
"After my first race, there are a few technical things I wanted to work on for the second," Gregg said. "I was too relaxed the first time, so I wanted to be more forward, more smooth for the second race."
The Canadian team will now head to Salt Lake City for the Continental Championships next weekend.
