DENVER -- Seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong and his RadioShack team will be among those competing in the inaugural Quiznos Pro Challenge next August in Colorado.
Armstrong was instrumental in organizing the stage race, which will take place from August 22-28.
In addition to Armstrong's RadioShack team, the Italian team of Liquigas and U.S. teams of HTC-Highroad, BMC Racing and Slipstream-Garmin-Cervelo are slated to participate.
Liquigas team members include two-time Giro d'Italia winner Ivan Basso and 2010 Vuelta Espana winner Vincenzo Nibali, while world champion Cadel Evans is among the riders for BMC Racing. Tour de France stage winner Thor Hushovd and Americans Tyler Farrar and Christian Vande Velde are part of the Slipstream roster.
