Winnipeg’s Cindy Klassen finished fourth in a World Cup speedskating race on Friday in Berlin.
Klassen just missed the podium in the 1,500-metre event.
Two other Winnipeggers raced the 1,500 on Friday. Brittany Schussler placed fifth, while Shannon Rempel finished 13th.
Christine Nesbitt of London, Ont., won her second race at the distance in two tries this season.
She’s atop the season rankings thus far, followed by Ireen Wust from the Netherlands and Klassen. Schussler is fifth.
Klassen won silver in the 3,000-metre race last weekend in the Netherlands.
That distance will be contested Saturday in Germany.
Rempel also took part in the first of two 500-metre races on Friday, finishing 10th, one spot behind Nesbitt.
