Former Tour de France champion Greg LeMond says he believes Floyd Landis' doping allegations against Lance Armstrong.
"I think he's telling the truth," Le-Mond told the Denver Post on Monday. "I think the level of detail, the descriptions, I think it rings true."
LeMond will testify July 30 in a federal court in Los Angeles at an investigation into allegations that Armstrong, a seven-time Tour champion, was involved in doping.
Armstrong has not tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and has questioned Landis' credibility.
Said LeMond: "The fact is, credibility or not, it's irrelevant because the feds are investigating it. And either he is leading them down the right path or he isn't.
"The evidence will come from the investigation, and I believe it will be overwhelming."
