GGs lose in OUA women's hoops final
By QMI Agency Staff

The Ottawa Gee-Gees head to next week's CIS women's basketball Final 8 as OUA runners-up after an 83-55 loss to Windsor on Saturday.

At Montpetit Hall, the Lancers got 19 points from 6-foot-3 Jessica Clemencon, a native of France, and another 15 from Bojana Kovacevic to win their second OUA title in a row. Ottawa star Hannah Sunley-Paisley, the OUA East MVP, was held to seven points, less than half of her average, although she also had 11 rebounds.

Emilie Morasse had 11 points and eight rebounds for the Gee-Gees, Jade Fair chipped in 10 and Awo Farah and Kelly Weir each added nine.

The Gee-Gees will soon learn their seeding for the nationals in Hamilton. It's the second time in coach Andy Sparks' two seasons that they have made the tournament.

Do you think Chad Johnson can still play at a high level in the NFL?
Yes, he is a talented receiver
No, he is too old to play
CFL might be a better option
