Canadian Olympians Ian Millar and Jill Henselwood will be among the top international riders who will compete at the National Capital Show Jumping Tournaments from August 12-23.
The competition this year, which will take place at the National Equestrian Park in the former Nepean, is being broken into two segments, running from Aug. 12-16 and Aug 19-23.
During the first week of competition, the ‘National Open’ will feature the $10,000 Marshes Open Welcome on Friday, Aug. 14, the $15,000 ATCO Derby on Saturday and the $25,000 National Capital Show Jumping Tournaments Grand Prix on Sunday, Aug. 16. Hunter competitors will also be in the spotlight during the $2,500 Hunter Derby on the grand prix field.
Week two, dubbed the CSI National Tournament, will feature the $10,000 CompetitiveJumpers.com Open Welcome on Friday, Aug. 21. On Saturday evening, Aug. 22, the $15,000 Modified Grand Prix and a BBQ will be held in support of the United Way. The grand finale will be the $75,000 Brookstreet Grand Prix on Sunday, Aug. 23.
