Lebanon has never medalled at a Winter Olympics.

In terms of Winter sports, it's largely irrelevant.

And, with just two competitors at the Sochi Games, it will likely miss the podium again.

Still, one of the Arab nation’s athletes is quickly becoming one of the most talked about skiers at these Games.

Jackie Chamoun is being investigated by the Lebanese Olympic Committee after topless photos of her emerged online late Tuesday. The scantily-clad 22-year-old is also under scrutiny for appearing in a YouTube video that shows her modeling in little more than skis and a thong.

She’ll compete in the slalom and giant slalom next week.

Chamoun was featured three years ago in a calendar that shows images of both male and female skiers at least partially nude. The recent release of a behind-the-scenes video showing Chamoun almost entirely naked has sparked what media in her home country are calling a scandal.

According to an ABC report, Lebanon’s National News Agency has said the country’s sports industry minister has asked that steps be taken to avoid “harming Lebanon’s reputation and international participation.”

Chamoun took to her Facebook page late Tuesday to address the situation.

“I just want to make it clear to everyone who commented, shared the photos that appeared on the net in Lebanon yesterday,” she wrote in a post that has been liked close to 12,000 times. “Yes, I did photos for an Austrian ski calendar with other professional athletes three years ago. The photos of the photo shoot are not like the actual images that are now circulating on the net. The video and photos that you are now seeing are part of the making of.”

The skier-turned-model also appeared at the 2010 Vancouver Games, finishing 54th in the slalom.
