WINNIPEG - A month after winning the Olympic Trials and booking a trip to Sochi, Jennifer Jones and her teammates are still riding high.

“There’s no letdown — we’re going to the Olympics,” a fired-up Jones said during a media availability at the St. Vital Curling Club, Tuesday. “It’s been an incredible high. And it just keeps getting better and better. Everytime I put my jacket on, it’s pretty sweet. I haven’t taken it off, actually.”

Jones, Kaitlyn Lawes, Jill Officer, and Dawn McEwen don’t leave for the Games for another two weeks.

But the magnitude of what they are about to experience hit home at a Team Canada send-off in Banff on the weekend.

“Everybody there recognized us in the airport,” Jones said. “I generally will get recognized a fair bit, but it’s been crazy. People will say, ‘We don’t follow curling, but go get ’em, represent Canada well.’
