A Canadian skier dislocated her shoulder in a fall Monday – but vows to continue competing at the Sochi Games.
Marie-Michele Gagnon, 24, was hurt when she fell during a slalom run. She lost control on the hill after hitting a gate.
“I’m hoping to keep racing here in Sochi,” she said in a press release. “I really want to show people that you can overcome obstacles and still do great things.
“I’ve had injuries before and come back and hopefully I can do it again.”
She competed at the Vancouver Games four years ago, finishing 21st in giant slalom and 31st in slalom.
