SOCHI - Kevin Dineen had to clean up his act as coach of Canada’s women’s hockey team.

Not that Dineen, who took over Dec. 17 from Dan Church, had much to do in that regard. The 50-year-old is one of the nicest people in the game and a thoughtful and entertaining interview.

But like most guys in the game — and by most, I mean everybody — Dineen has become adept at using a certain expletive in just about all situations and in every form: noun, adjective, verb, you name it and he’s effing done it.

He’s not quite Bruce Boudreau, the then Washington Capitals coach who famously dropped 15 F-bombs in an 80-second span on HBO’s 24/7 Road to the Winter Classic, but Dineen apparently can put his money where his potty mouth is.

He didn’t even really know he was doing it until he was followed by a television crew when he was coaching in the American Hockey League.
