Winnipeg's Cindy Klassen is among 14 new inductees for the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame.

The three-time Olympian and six-time medallist joins a 2014 class that includes gold-medal winners gymnast Kyle Shewfelt and hockey coach Pat Quinn.

Klassen won a speed skating bronze at Salt Lake City in 2002, before dominating the Turin Games four years later, winning gold, silver and two more bronze medals.

Joining Klassen and Shewfelt, an Olympic champion in 2004, are the men's eight rowing crew, gold-medallists in 2008, speed skating coach Marcel Lacroix and, in the builder category, Quinn, former Alberta premier Ralph Klein and sports journalist Richard Garneau.

The Hall of Fame's induction gala will be held in Calgary, in June.
