Five more runners were named to the Canadian Olympic team Thursday by Athletics Canada.

Sprinters Daundre Barnaby of Brampton, Ont., Aaron Brown of Toronto, Tremaine Harris of Markham, Ont., and Kerri-Ann Mitchell of Pickering, Ont., along with distance runner Sheila Reid of Newmarket, Ont., were all added, bringing the Canadian team to 45 athletes.

Barnaby, who will compete in the 400-metres, was originally on Athletics Canada's nomination list but was held back because he didn't have a Canadian passport.

Brown (100m and 200m), Harris (200m) and Reid (5,000m) were added under Rising Star consideration. Mitchell was given a spot on the team when Phylicia George of Markham, Ont., withdrew from the 100m in London to concentrate on the 100m hurdles.
