Last chance for women's volleyball to qualify

WINNIPEG - The national women's volleyball squad has re-assembled in Winnipeg to prepare for their last kick at the Olympics qualifying can.
Tammy Mahon of Holland, Man., is expected to be a key player when Team Canada, currently ranked No. 22 in the world, competes at the NORCECA Olympic Qualification Tournament in Tijuana, Mexico, April 29-May 5th.
The Canucks will have to win the tournament to qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England.
Canada will be in a pool with the Dominican Republic, ranked No. 9 in the world, Puerto Rico (19) and Honduras (69).
The national women's team has not qualified for the Olympics since 1996.
Mahon is among 15 players currently training in Winnipeg. Canada will take 12 to Mexico. The travel roster will be determined on April 23 and the team will lead April 26.
