VANCOUVER — You can’t score it yet. But Adam Enright of Edmonton will likely own a color-to-be-determined-later Olympic medal now.
The fifth man for Canada replaced Ben Hebert when Kevin Martin’s team jumped to a 9-2 lead over France’s Thomas Dufour Thursday night.
You are required to play a minimum of two ends to be given a medal with the rest of the team. And teams are required to play a minimum six ends.
This one went eight. He’s good for a gold if Martin finally wins one.
Martin needed only to bump a wide-open rock a few inches to hit for five in the fourth end to clobber Dufour 12-5 after thumping Niklas Edin of Sweden 7-3 in the morning draw.

Also Thursday, Cheryl Bernard’s Calgary rink continued to be the high-wire act at these Games.
After going to the last rock in their first game, Bernard went to an extra end to defeat Andrea Schoepp of Germany 6-5.
