RICHMOND, B.C. ó Denny Morrison of Fort St. John, B.C., probably Canadaís best individual medal hope in menís speed skating, finished well back Wednesday in the menís 1,000-metre event.

Morrison came across the line in 12th place, with still the best skater to go in American Shani Davis.

Davis didnít disappoint, winning gold for the second straight Olympics.
