VANCOUVER — The women’s moguls competition on Saturday night, which will feature Canadian defending Olympic gold medallist Jenn Heil of Montreal, is up in the air after snowboard cross training had to be cancelled on Cypress Mountain.
The moguls is slated to be contested late Saturday afternoon with the finals in the evening.
Crews are working feverishly to get the Cypress course up to standard but it’s been a losing job because of unseasonably warm weather, forcing organizers to bring in snow from higher elevations.
“Official training for men’s and ladies snowboard cross training has been cancelled to allow course work and preservation,” said an official statement.
