Now just imagine how many people are going to watch Sunday's hockey showdown with the Americans.

The men's hockey game between Canada and Switzerland Thursday — seen by many as a tune-up for the Canadians, though it turned into a thriller — averaged 6.8 million viewers, CTV says.

Ratings peaked at 12 million during the shootout, during which Sidney Crosby scored the game winner.

Other ratings numbers from CTV include:

-Alexandre Bilodeau's gold medal-winning run: 7.3 million

-Jenn Heil's silver medal-winning run: 6.6 million

-Kristina Groves' bronze medal-winning run: 5 million
