Name: Patrick Chan Bio: Chan is one of the most recognizable faces on the Canadian Olympic team heading into Vancouver. Not only has he been the mainstay in several promotional ads, but the 19-year old skater was named one of the Globe and Mail's most prominent sports personalities in their annual Power List in Canadian sports. Name: Vaughn Chipeur Bio: Having moved to the senior level relatively later, Chipeur, at 25, is one of the oldest members on the Candian figure skating team. Name: Paul Poirier and Vanessa Crone Bio: The ice dancing pair are the 2008 and 2009 Canadian silver medallists and placed third at the NHK Trophy, an international event, in 2009. At only 18 and 19-years old, Vancouver will be their first Olympic appearance. (Derek Ruttan/QMI)

Name: Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue Bio: Currently ranked third in the world and were the first ice dance pair to receive a 10.0 under the ISU judging system. Dominant internationally, the duo are the reigning Canadadian champions and won gold at both the Skate Canada internationals and the Trophee Eric Bromphard and silver in the Grand Prix finals in 2009. Name: Joannie Rochette Bio: Six-time Canadian national skating champion, Rochette has been a serious competitor internationally since 2007. Name: Cynthia Phaneuf Bio: Originally considered for the 2006 Olympic team, Phaneuf was forced to withdraw from contention prior to the tournament due to an injury. Since recovery she has steadily improved at Canadian championships, but has yet to medal internationally. (Mike Hensen/QMI)

Name: Bryce Davison and Jessica Dube Bio: Sports fans will remember Davison and Dube mostly for a grisly accident at the Four Continents in 2007 after Davison's skate sliced Dube's face during the free skate, and a second accident in 2008 when Davison failed to catch her during a lift. Name: Cody Hay and Annabelle Langlois Bio: The figure skating pair finished in second at the 2009-10 Canadian Championships right on the heels of having lost the entire 2008-09 season to an injury suffered by Langlois.
