it was not the IOC that asked the american snowboarder to leave it was the US olympic committee. It was the right call by the USOC, hopefully it will be followed by the COC and not allow the girls to participate in the closing ceremonies.

Give me a break. These ladies worked their butts off to get this gold medal. There was no damage done to anything. No violence displayed. Just a quiet sensible get together afterwards with a Molsons and a cigar.So what. They deserved to do it. It's a non issue that the IOC wants to make anything they can of. Unbelievable!!

Folks, the arena was EMPTY except for journalists, family and players. This is nothing more that a "journalistic rag" on the team's parade. The general public had left the building and the players were just "blowing off steam".... THE SAME WAY THEY DID IN TURIN AND SALT LAKE in 2006 and 2002. Is this the only thing that journalists have to hold on to? The "game" was the story not its aftermath. The "gold" and the team have not been tarnished. Who cares if an 18 year old had a few post-game drinks? She is eligble to do so in her home province of Quebec and the province of Alberta where they train. Lighten up, folks, no one was "impaired" in any capacity......

they should be asked to leave the olympics just like the americaian that had to leave for the photos of the hot asin chick bitting his medal. They made the IOC look bad therefore they should have to leave the village too. If not then there is no standard and the ioc is a joke
