Jamesey is right, the little guy pays. These so called protesters are nothing more then hooligans, maybe even they should be classified as terrorists. They hurt the city, its people and the small stores and businesses to make a point that is intended for someone else. Bunch of bullies really, ask me if I support them, well do it peacefully and I will not only listen but may even support you in the end, bring that ugly violence into the picture and I will stand against you and even if there is police brutally, I won't care about anything you say and I think nothing of your cause.

They had no credibility before the riot.

Its time to deal with these people, If I as a none protester did that, they would lock me up!! BUT call it a protest and is OK. What the He11 am I missing?

Protesters who use violence discredit their cause however noble. The ends no matter how noble do not justify the use of violent means.

The police need to take swiffter action with the protesters. Once they become violent, they should not be holding back.

This lack of force will be seen as weak and a victory for the protestors. Just as they succeded yesterday in stopping the torch run and ruining a service with some veterns. They saw the weakness in the police response and now we have violence on only day 2.

Way to showcase yourself to the world Vancouver. Funny thing is most of the protesters live there, they are trashing the city they say they love. Time to grab a brain protesters! This whole line of comment will be lost on them because I'm sure they can't read while their heads are buried in the sand.

They've had no credibility ever.

It's too late to stop the Olympics. Rioting in the streets simply costs taxpayers money - The citizens of vancouver have to pay to replace damaged signs, bus stops and public fixtures.

To make matters worse, business insurance usually doesn't cover riots or war. So when some dimwit throws a rock through the window of a small business, it will cost the owner thousands of dollars.
