No whining needed. Seems to be a non-issue since the USA (26 medals) and Germany (23 medals) are far ahead of Canada in the totals count. Canada will not catch either country in totals. But take heart, Canadians, the team may surpass both countries in the final gold count. The USA and Germany are nearing the end of their gold possibilities while Canada (as I count it) has six: Womens bobsled, mens and womens curling, mens and womens hockey (yes, I said men, also) and the womens speedskating team pursuit. So they could total 12 gold medals. Neither USA or Germany look like they will finish with 12 golds.

So the "Own the Podium" which is the butt of more than a few jokes in the USA will have proven not to have been a bad investment after all. So you all may get the last laugh yet.

Yes "Black Bloc" tactics get attention- Kind of reminds me of another group that used similar tactics to promote their "cause" - disruptive marches and the breaking of store windows.- the Nazis in pre-WWII Germany- quite the role models!

You personally have no idea who lives in Afghanistan because you rely on proven liars like media to form your opinions. Anybody can be labled anything and terrorist is so subjective when they are from there or near there and we are invaders who on average kill more than 2000 of their innocent civilians a year. No one has the right to invade countries but because the US does it so often it seems to be acceptable to the absurd.

The offensive in Afghanistan started the same day as the opening cerimonies that vice President Biden attended. The very next day on our sovereign soil he threatened Iran. Ge and GM directly supply the war effort as well as developing new products for war, and they are two of the main Olympic sponsors. If you see no correlation, between the Olympics and the vast Military-Industrial complex, there is no helping you, but please never judge me just because you are painfully stupid.:)

As for PQ, who called me a coward unfoundedly, what business is it of mine or yours what goes on In Afghanistan? Woman are oppressed all over the world, how much effort have you made on their behalf you fallacy argument hypocrite.
