With all the great players they had to choose from,they could do no wrong.Team looks good on paper.The question is whether the coaches will be able to get all these great talents to gel.Talent alone won't win the gold,but I have high hopes for this young team.

My only disappointment is Pronger. He is not having a good year, and is slow (not to mention unpopular). Would prefer to see Green or Boewmeester.

crosby is not only overrated he was voted biggest baby last year, yeah i want a player who plants himself infront of the net then cries when things dont go his way, as for ovechkin he is a far superior athlete, sorry he doesnt have 50 million dollar players around him and that bettman doesnt script the games to go in a russians favor, if you cant see the game has become a farce then your a bigger moron then bettman, and if you think that crosby is the best thing that ever happend to hockey you must have just started watching this year. one on one he would NEVER stack up against any real hockey player. who would you compare him too turtling greztky? easy to be the best when youll cry complaints to have players suspended for touching you, NHL fails these days, i would rather watch poker atleast that winner is still based on chance and skill.. and by the way thanks for making sure canada wont even make medal contention yzerman, god bless you all.

Professional atheletes do not belong in the Olympics. The Olympics are for non professional atheletes. The only reason for allowing professional atheletes was to sell tickets.

Zach Parise is American so wasn't eligible for the Canadian team. He will be on the U.S. team announced Friday.

Sidney Crosby overrated?

Anyone who actually plays or coaches hockey, unlike the armchair quarterback know-it-alls who post here (like Steve Yzerman), knows that Crosby is the one player every coach would like to build a team around.

Yeah, Ovechkin is the great marketing tool who makes the big highlight reel plays, but Crosby plays the game on a different level than everyone else, much like Gretzky did. He makes it look so easy that people take him for granted.

And more importantly, Crosby is a winner. The teams that he has played on win championships. Can't say that for Ovechkin.

Crobsy is not overrated. He is excatly what is required for this team. A winner. Great leadership. Wears his heart on his sleeve.

We all remember what happened when he wasn't invited in 2006. We were a joke of a team.
