Your reaction to Canadian hockey roster?

Team Canada GM Steve Yzerman named his roster for the men's hockey team at the Vancouver Winter Olympics. Do you like the team? Who was left off that should have been named? Have your say in our forum.

How could anyone overlook Mike Camalleri from the HABS at 20 goals...? And to top it all off Burke does not even consider Gomez or Gionta on the American squad for Kessel and Komisarek, both underachievers....incoyable

Even Shawn Avery would say, he deserves to be there.

A couple surprises but when you sit back and really look at this team you can understand who they took and why they took them. Only two I would have changed would be Stamkos for Morrow and Green for Doughty but who the hell am I to question

The problem was picking just one team. Let's face it, unlike other countries we could send at least three teams that could easily compete for gold. Quebec would love to provide their own. Most successful teams are not all-star teams. You need some grit and heart to go with the talent. Those are the hard players to choose in this situation with so many to choose from and only a few spots. This team can win. We'll find out.

Put my vote down in support of Bergeron. This guy started his career with raw offensive abilities but has redefined himself has a top two-way center with an incredible sense of the game. Smart guy, and more dependable than half of the team.

I'm worried about the lack of natural "North-South" wingers, too many centerman. It's tough switching roles. Doan, Dustin Brown...Cam Nelly types who beat down defensemen, and make them hurry up to make mistakes.

A few countries top two lines are as good or better than ours, the fate of gold is in the third and fourth liners.

How could we go wrong; you could switch 10 guys and still have a solid contender! I am very impressed with how Yzerman picked a group of players who are worthy and not because they felt entitled (read Brian McCabe). Too often guys were picked because of reputation and not how they have played.

Go Canada.

It doesn't matter on the roster, they're still gonna lose, BIG TIME!

We will be in the penalty box too much. The Hawks defence we picked plus with nutbar Pronger don't have the discipline to stay out of the way for the majority of the Olympic refereeing. However if Crosby and the Sharks line can get it going we might have enough. Better get Fleury in net. The Sedin's score on Luongo in practice like he is Swiss cheese and Brodeur will get distracted with all the BC girls in the crowd. My heart is with Canada, realistically its Russia with the gold.
