Morgan Alexander has been a key part of Pierre Lueders' four-man bobsleigh crew this season.

A bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships on their home track in Calgary helped set the tone for what has been a solid year of racing. In fact, the team would improve over the year, later winning a gold medal at a World Cup stop in Konigssee, Germany.

A rookie on the national team last year, Alexander enjoyed early success, winning silver at a World Cup race in Italy's Cortina d'Ampezzo. Hs quick feet and explosive strength are key qualities that have contributed to his quick ascent to Canada's top four-man crew.

Born in Regina, Alexander is one of three Saskatchewan natives playing prominent roles on the bobsleigh teams headed for Turin. Ken Kotyk, a fellow crewmember in Lueders' sled, is from Canora, Saskatchewan, while Saskatoon's Jaime Cruickshank is one of the young guns on the rapidly improving women's team.

With Lueders' four-man team on a hot streak coming into Turin in 2006, Alexander has a good shot at winning a medal.
