Kurt Busch knows how to make news — he has been doing it since he first broke into NASCAR Sprint Cup racing 14 seasons ago.

Like the time he suggested that Jimmy Spencer kiss his butt after an on-track altercation during the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, or the time he pulled out the regrettable “don’t you know who a I am” line to a sheriff’s officer in Arizona resulting in a DUI citation.

Busch also made headlines by being fired from Roush Fenway Racing after winning the Sprint Cup championship.

And who can get forget the live on camera four letter expletive rant when ESPN’s Dr. Jerry Punch approached him for an interview at Homestead Miami Speedway.

Well, Busch is about to make more news and he hopes it will be of the historic variety this time around.
