Let’s admit it, Kurt Busch is never, ever going to be in consideration for most popular driver in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

In fact, he would have a better chance of being elected Pope, and, as far as I know, he isn’t even Catholic.

Busch is, however, one heck of a race car driver and when given good equipment — like he has with the No. 41 Stewart Haas Racing Chevrolet — he is going to make some championship noise, just like he did on Sunday winning the STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway.

As it is always with Busch, while getting to Victory Lane he ruffled a lot a feathers — some of them on his own team.

At one point, yelling over the team radio that the car’s set up was awful, blaming crew chief Daniel Knost.

“We’re done,” Busch said.

Then there was the hissing match with Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Penske Racing Ford team.
