It was another first - his first win in the United States - for Sebastian Vettel at the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on Sunday.

It was also his eighth consecutive Grand Prix win this season - breaking the mark previously held by Michael Schumacher and Alberto Ascari.

Vettel absolutely destroyed the field right from the first lap in his No. 1 Red Bull Renault.

Having already clinched his fourth consecutive F-1 world championship two weeks ago, Vettel was running full out right up to the final lap at COA, even to the point where Red Bull team bosses were urging him to let up in his quest for the fastest lap mark, lest something broke on his run to the checkered flag.

At the finish line, Vettel was 6.2 seconds in front of second-place finisher Romain Grosjean in a Lotus Renault.
