Yogi Berra was right when he so ineloquently professed that “it ain’t over ’til it’s over” but let me tell you, the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship is indeed done, over, finished.

With one race left in the 2013 season, Jimmie Johnson heads to Homestead Miami Speedway with a near insurmountable 28-point lead over Matt Kenseth.

Johnson finished third in the No. 48 Chevrolet in Sunday’s AdvoCare 500K at Phoenix International Raceway and that was all he needed with Kenseth all the way back in 23rd when the checkered flag flew at the one-mile oval.

This comes after Johnson started the race with a razor thin seven-point advantage over Kenseth.

But, after a near flawless first eight races in the 10-race Chase, there were times on Sunday when it was a comedy of errors for Kenseth and his No. 20 Toyota team.
