In the wake of braking his leg in a dirt track race earlier this week, Tony Stewart is out of the No. 14 Stewart Haas Racing Chevrolet for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Cheez-It 355 at Watkins Glen International, but he has created two jobs as a result.

Max Papis, who is something of a bizarro mirror image of Stewart in that the Italian native will race and has raced just about everything on four wheels in his career, is stepping into the SHR Chevrolet on Sunday in Stewart’s stead.

Papis was supposed to race next weekend at Kansas Speedway in the No. 61 R.Ferri/AIM Autosport Racing with Ferrari 458 Italia for the GRAND-AM Road Racing SFP Grand Prix, but will now stay with NASCAR.

Canada’s Alex Tagliani, just out of the IZOD IndyCar Series No. 98 Barracuda/Bryan Herta Racing Honda, will step into the Toronto-based AIM Ferrari team in place of Papis.
