Jim Nabors wasn’t there Sunday to sing Back Home Again In Indiana, but it didn’t matter, Ryan Newman, born and raised in the Hoosier state, did for real, winning the Samuel Deeds 400 at the Brickyard.

Two weeks after being told he would not be back in the No. 39 Stewart Haas Racing Chevrolet in 2014, Newman has done everything since to make that decision look bad for team owner Tony Stewart who has signed Kevin Harvick to be the third driver at SHR next season.
