It seems Danica Patrick’s overexposure in the media has frayed the nerves of some of her fellow Sprint Cup racers.

After Sunday’s race at Kansas Speedway, Patrick voiced her frustration over finishing a disappointing 25th. According to USA Today, she pointed the finger at 37-year-old David Gilliland for causing her to finish so poorly.

“He tries to take me out every time,” she told her team during the race. “Tell his spotter that I’m coming after him if he does it again. In fact, I might just do it right now.”

Gilliland’s response: “Shut up and race.”

Those were four simple words that came as a rebuttal to Patrick’s complaints.

Patrick was unavailable for interviews after the race nor did she follow through with her threats of a face-to-face confrontation.
