Kyle Busch sees his luck finally turn around with win at Fontana

Last season Kyle Busch finished outside the Chase in the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

It is a failure he didn’t want to repeat this season.

Yet in the first four races of 2013 Busch seemed bitten again by the same bad luck bug that plagued him and the team in 2012.

Then came the Auto Club 400 at Fontana 10 days ago and there was Busch, the recipient of some good luck for a change.

He was ensconced in third place in the final laps and it looked like that was where the No. 18 Toyota would finish.

Then Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin decided to play bumper cars at 200 m.p.h. and it gave Busch an opening and he drove past the pair right to Victory Lane.

It didn’t erase last season’s disaster, but at least it appeared to turn this young season around.
