It is surprising how well Matt Kenseth flies under the radar in NASCAR Sprint Cup.

He is hardly ever mentioned in the same conversation with Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, or even his tempestuous teammate at Joe Gibbs Racing, Kyle Busch.

Yet Kenseth, like Johnson, Stewart and Gordon, has his name on the Sprint Cup trophy and he has seven wins in the past three seasons to Busch’s five.

The 41-year-old Wisconsin native, however, is rarely on anyone’s list when it comes to picking a favourite to win a race or a championship.
