NASCAR'S Waltrip deserves racing respect
By DEAN MCNULTY, QMI Agency

There are lots of folks in the racing world who think that Michael Waltrip is a one-trick pony, with three of his four NASCAR Sprint Cup wins coming at the two restrictor plate tracks — Daytona International Speedway, twice, and Talladega Superspeedway.

That assumption would be both untrue and unfair.

Waltrip, who will be meeting and greeting fans on Saturday at the Canadian Motorsports Expo at the Toronto International Centre, has a lot more on his resume than success at NASCAR’s big tracks.

He is the co-owner and face of Michael Waltrip Racing, that last season put two of its three teams into the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship, with Clint Bowyer finishing second in the No. 15 MWR Toyota behind Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 Penske Racing team.

Do you think Chad Johnson can still play at a high level in the NFL?
Yes, he is a talented receiver
No, he is too old to play
CFL might be a better option
