Former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield has been arrested in North Carolina on methamphetamine charges.
Members of four law enforcement agencies raided Mayfield's home Tuesday looking for stolen goods and, according to police reports, they found stolen goods as well as 1.5 grams of methamphetamine, SceneDaily.com reported Wednesday.
The Catwaba County sheriff's department also took more than 40 guns from the property.
Mayfield has spent more than two years trying to clear his name after NASCAR suspended him for testing positive for methamphetamines. Mayfield has challenged the test results, saying they were inaccurate.
