Nationwide qualifying at Chicagoland rained out
By Sports Network

Joliet, IL - Poor weather conditions at Chicagoland Speedway forced NASCAR officials to cancel qualifying for Saturday's STP 300 Nationwide Series race.

Per NASCAR's rule book, Aric Almirola will start on the pole for the scheduled 300-mile race, since he was quickest in Friday's practice sessions at this 1.5-mile track.

Elliott Sadler, the current points leader, will start alongside Almirola on the front row.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will roll off third, followed by Carl Edwards and Mikey Kile. Stenhouse is only one point behind Sadler.

Brad Keselowski, Reed Sorenson, Brian Scott, Ryan Truex and Steve Wallace will start sixth through 10th, respectively. Sorenson is just two points in back of the leader.

Danica Patrick will start 16th in her first Nationwide race since March 19 at Bristol. Trevor Bayne, who had been sidelined while battling symptoms of nausea, fatigue and impaired vision for more than one month, returns to competition with a 31st starting position.

All 42 drivers entered in this race made the starting field.

According to the National Weather Service, the weather forecast for the race, which is scheduled to start just after 8:00 p.m. (et), calls for a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

After benching Brad Richards should the New York Rangers eventually just buy him out?
  Yes.
  Might be a good idea.
