Socialite Paris Hilton has spoken of her pride after a teenage driver on her Grand Prix World Championship race team triumphed at the France MotoGP.

The hotel heiress launched the Paris Hilton Racing Team in December and she already has a big win to her name after 16-year-old Maverick Vinales sped to victory in the 125cc class earlier this month.

Appearing on U.S. TV's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Friday, she said, "I have my own racing team. This is for real. We just won first place at this huge race in France, I'm very proud. My rider Maverick was (driving). He's 16; he's incredibly talented."

Hilton showed off her own racing stripes as she made a grand entrance to the Tonight Show stage on the back of a pink and white motorbike.

The star admitted she had no faith in her own driving skills and opted to be chauffeured into the studio by racer Chad Jensen.

She laughed, "I didn't wanna hurt the audience. I don't trust myself driving out!"
