One kangaroo is awfully lucky it didn't become roadkill.

During the Bathurst 1,000 auto race in New South Wales, Australia, driver Garth Tander nearly crossed paths with one of the little hoppers while rounding a corner.

The kangaroo appeared to be unharmed and bounded off the road soon after the close encounter.

Hopefully it'll look both ways next time it tries to cross the road.
