Brooklyn, MI – Michigan native and current points leader Brad Keselowski overcame two clutch problems on pit road to win the CARFAX 250 Nationwide Series race in front of his home crowd at Michigan International for the second year in a row.
Keselowski, whose hometown is roughly 90 miles away from the two-mile track in Rochester Hills, Michigan, dominated the race by starting on the pole and leading 89 of 125 laps. Keselowski, however, stalled while exiting his pit stall due to a clutch issue on two different stops.
He passed Carl Edwards and took the lead for good after a restart with nine laps remaining for his fourth victory of the season and the 10th of his Nationwide career. His lead increased to 347 points over Edwards, who finished second.
Kyle Busch took the third spot, while Justin Allgaier and Paul Menard rounded out the top-five.
