Rush aim to stem the flow of losses
By GERRY MODDEJONGE, QMI Agency

After dropping last weekend's game against the Roughnecks, the Rush want to tally their first win in nine meetings against their provincial rivals. (Amber Bracken/QMI Agency)

EDMONTON - There will be nothing but dirt, dust and unrecognizable debris when things are all said and done at Rexall Place this weekend.

But it won’t left over from another failed attempt by the Edmonton Rush to get a rare home victory this time around.

No, with Monster Jam selling the edges of seats in Edmonton this weekend, the Rush will make the three-hour trip south to try and stop a nine-game regular-season losing streak to the Calgary Roughnecks.

And, following last weekend’s 18-15 loss to their provincial rivals, that might not be such a bad thing.

Especially considering neither opponent has won a home game yet this season.

Then again, the last time Edmonton won a regular-season game in Calgary was in 2007, when Chris Gill set a club-record six goals on the way to a 13-12 victory.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
