Toronto Rock re-sign four
By QMI Agency
National Lacrosse League champions Toronto Rock have re-signed four players the club announced on Wednesday.
Amongst the four are goaltender Pat Campbell, who served as back-up for the now retired Bob Watson, and is expected to step seamlessly into the starter roll come opening night. The club announced that Campbell signed a two-year contract.
Also signing a two-year deal is veteran Rock defender Cam Woods.
Defender Glen Bryan and forward Rob Hellyer, both rookies last season, inked three-year deals with the team.
Bryan scored once and added four assists through nine games during the 2011 regular season, but appeared in all three post-season contests and scored the first goal for the Rock during their Championship match against the Washington Stealth in Toronto.
Hellyer, who only appeared in three games during the regular season, still managed to rack up two goals and nine assists, and carried his scoring into the post-season where he added another three points.
