Pair of Roughnecks score weekly honours
By SCOTT FISHER, QMI Agency

Jeff Shattler’s breakout season is continuing.

The Calgary Roughnecks all-star was named NLL transition player of the week Wednesday.

The 26-year-old scored a hat-trick and seven points while scooping up seven loose balls in last Friday’s 14-9 win over the Toronto Rock.

Teammate Curtis Dickson was also recognized, picking up rookie of the week honours.

The 22-year-old also scored three times against the Rock.

Edmonton Rush forward Zack Greer was named NLL player of the week and offensive player of the week. Greer scored five times in a win over his former team, the Minnesota Swarm.

Rochester Knighthawks defenceman Scott Campbell picked up top defensive honours.

The Roughnecks, who are riding a five-game winning streak, hosts the Swarm Friday night (7:30 p.m. at the Dome).
