They completed one sweep and it earned them another.

The Calgary Roughnecks swept the National Lacrosse League’s weekly awards Wednesday thanks to a decisive 19-14 victory over the Edmonton Rush Saturday.

The win improved the Riggers to 8-3, with four of those wins coming against the Rush — a complete dusting in the Battle of Alberta.

Dane Dobbie was named overall and offensive player of the week thanks to scoring five goals and adding three helpers.

Nolan Heavenor, who returned to the lineup three games ago after missing two months with a high-ankle sprain, was named the top defender. He had a goal and won 14 of 18 faceoffs against the Rush.

Jeff Shattler was named transition player of the week although he plays exclusively on offence now. Shattler scored nine points (one goal and eight assists) against the Rush, his fourth straight game with eight or more points.

Rounding out the award winners is freshman Curtis Dickson, who picked up rookie honours for his three goal, three assist night.

The Rush visit to the Saddledome was the only NLL game last weekend.
